Geo QA for Marketers: How to Check Ads, Landing Pages, and Telegram Funnels in Every Country
You open a campaign report for six countries: impressions are rising, CTR is normal, but there are almost no leads from Germany and Poland. The numbers in the dashboard will not explain why. The reason is often that you have not seen what the user sees: a landing page in the wrong language, prices in the wrong currency, or a cookie banner covering the button. To see all of this for yourself, you need to open the page from an IP address in the target country, for example through PSB Proxy.
Geo QA is a regular check that ads, pages, and funnels work in each region as intended. Below is a practical workflow: what to check, which tools to use, how often to run the checks, and how much traffic they consume.
Where Multi-GEO Setups Break Most Often
The same issues recur from project to project. Start your checks with this list:
IP-based redirect. A user is sent to the wrong language version: for example, a visitor from Switzerland is redirected to the Germany page and cannot switch back to the correct version.
Currency and taxes. The price differs between the ad, the landing page, and checkout.
Cookie banner. In EU countries, it covers the form or button on mobile screens.
Payment. Local payment methods expected by buyers are missing, and payment conversion drops.
Offer. The creative promises something that is not available in a particular country.
Speed. A page loads in 6 seconds from one country and in 1.5 seconds from another; CDN configuration is often the cause.
Telegram path. A link to a bot or Mini App opens immediately in one country but goes through a slow tracker in another.
Each of these issues is visible only from the perspective of a user in the target country. Analytics will show that conversion is lower, but it will not tell you why.
Preparation: A Check Matrix and a “Clean” Profile
Start with a table. The rows are the GEOs where you advertise, and the columns are the funnel elements. Decide in advance what counts as normal and what evidence you will save.
Element | What to Check | What to Record |
|---|---|---|
Ad | Language, offer, mobile format | Screenshot with date and GEO |
Landing page | Redirects, language, price, cookie banner | Screenshot and final URL |
Payment | Local methods, taxes, currency | Checkout screenshot |
Telegram path | Link, /start, Mini App | Screen recording |
Speed | Time to first screen | Value from DevTools |
The second part of the preparation is a separate browser profile for each GEO. Its settings should match the country being tested:
interface language and the Accept-Language header;
time zone;
geolocation permissions;
clean cookies, without being logged in to ad accounts or email.
If the IP is German but the browser is in Russian with the Moscow time zone, the site may show a mixed version and you will not be testing what a real user sees. Check the mobile version in device mode in DevTools: traffic from social networks and Telegram is predominantly mobile.
Ad Checks: What to Look At Without Distorting the Data
Check four things:
Whether the creative language matches the country language.
Whether the offer and currency match what the user sees on the page.
Where the final URL leads after all redirects and which UTM parameters it contains.
How the ad looks in a mobile format.
The main rule: do not click your own paid ads. Every click costs money, and advertising platforms filter suspicious activity, which distorts the data. Instead, use the preview in the ad platform and follow the user path via the final URL from the ad settings. Add a separate tag to it, for example utm_source=qa, and exclude it from analytics reports.
Two more practices:
The absence of an ad in a single check proves nothing: delivery depends on the auction and targeting. Repeat the check at different times of day.
The purpose of the check is to find errors in your own campaign. Showing moderators and users different versions of a page (cloaking) is not allowed; it directly violates platform rules.
Landing Pages and Redirects: Seven Things to Check
Redirect chain. In DevTools, open the Network tab and enable Preserve log. Check for 301 and 302 status codes and unnecessary intermediate domains. More than two redirects is a reason to simplify the chain.
Language. It matches the ad language, the language switcher works, and the page does not switch back based on IP.
Price. The same amount appears in the ad, on the page, and at checkout, with the correct currency and tax.
Cookie banner. It does not cover the action button on a mobile screen, and the “Accept” and “Reject” buttons are accessible.
Payment. Local methods are shown, such as BLIK in Poland, iDEAL in the Netherlands, and Pix in Brazil.
Lead form. The phone number mask matches the country, and the lead notification actually reaches you.
Speed. Measure time to first byte and the loading time of the first screen. If the difference between countries is several-fold, check the CDN settings.
SEO: hreflang and Local Search Results
Geo QA is useful for organic search as well. Start with hreflang markup:
links must be reciprocal: if page A points to B, then B must point to A;
use the correct codes: en-GB, not en-UK;
add x-default for users whose language you do not support.
Then check the search results. Select 10–15 key queries for each GEO and test them from a clean profile with an IP from the target country. In the Google search URL, you can set the hl parameter (interface language) and gl parameter (country), but the region is also determined by IP, so it is more reliable to combine both methods.
What to check in the search results:
whether the correct language version of the site is shown;
whether the title and description in the snippet are in the correct language;
whether there is a local pack, reviews, and other rich elements;
who ranks at the top for your main queries.
Save screenshots of the search results once a week. A single check means little: results fluctuate and depend on personalization.
Telegram Funnels: What Depends on the Country and What Does Not
First, one clarification. A bot’s language is not determined by IP: Telegram sends the bot the language_code from the user’s app settings. Therefore, checking the bot greeting from different IP addresses is almost pointless. Instead, make sure you have a fallback localization for languages you do not support.
Everything the bot and Mini App load from the internet can depend on the country:
Links and trackers. A t.me link routed through a shortener or tracker should open immediately, without hanging on an intermediate page. Also test the case where Telegram is not installed: the user should see a clear instruction page.
Mini App. It loads as a web page, so the same rules apply as for a landing page: regional speed, availability of fonts and scripts from the CDN, and IP-based redirects.
Payment inside the funnel. Make sure the payment provider works in the country and displays the correct currency.
Channel card. A public channel can be opened in a browser at t.me/s/channelname, which lets you quickly check the preview and description without installing the app.
For Telegram ads, the approach is the same: check the page or bot that the ad leads to, as well as the entire path after the click.
If the funnel includes several Telegram accounts, channels, or chats, it is more convenient to connect Geo QA with the Telegram Expert. This Telegram software lets you centrally manage accounts, different types of mailings, and the autoresponder, while using GEO test results to configure separate scenarios. This keeps network checks through PSB Proxy separate from operational work inside Telegram.
Which IP Type to Use for Each Check
Websites and advertising systems determine the region by IP address, so Geo QA requires access to addresses from the target country. The appropriate type depends on the task:
Task | IP Type | Why |
|---|---|---|
Mobile-traffic advertising, social networks, mobile-service testing | Mobile | Carrier addresses, natural mobile traffic |
Landing pages, payments, local search results | Residential | Real-user addresses suitable for checking websites from different countries |
Page speed and availability, technical monitoring | Data center | Fast and inexpensive |
All three types are available in a single PSB Proxy dashboard. What is especially useful for Geo QA:
200+ countries and 40+ million IP addresses;
GEO is set through parameters in the authentication string: country, state, city, and provider (the service documentation includes examples such as _country-us_state-california);
HTTP and SOCKS5 connections, plus IP-based whitelisting for teams;
traffic-based billing, with usage visible in the account dashboard.
Choose the type based on the task, not the price: mobile advertising is better checked from mobile IPs, while page speed is better tested from data-center IPs. You remain responsible for complying with platform rules during testing.
How Much Traffic the Checks Use
Per-gigabyte billing makes the testing budget predictable. The formula is simple: GEOs × pages × page weight. For example, 6 GEOs × 15 pages × 3 MB ≈ 270 MB for a full pass.
At the PSB Proxy website, the prices listed at the time this article was prepared were: residential IPs from $1.20/GB, mobile IPs from $2.10/GB, and data-center IPs from $0.70/GB. This means that the full pass in the example would cost about $0.32 on residential IPs and $0.57 on mobile IPs. Check the dashboard for current rates.
How to use less traffic:
block images and video in DevTools (Network request blocking) when you are checking only redirects and text;
measure page weight in the Network tab in advance and use the actual figures in your estimate;
check page speed and availability with data-center IPs, and reserve mobile IPs for mobile scenarios;
close tabs with auto-refresh and background analytics;
once a week, compare actual usage in the dashboard with the plan.
Routine: 40 Minutes a Week
For 5–6 GEOs, one session per week is enough:
Open the matrix and prepare a browser profile with an IP from the target country.
Follow the path: ad (preview) → final URL → landing page → form or payment → Telegram.
Save screenshots and add the date, GEO, device, and result to the table.
Check 10–15 queries in the search results.
Measure the speed of the main pages.
Create a task for each error, attaching a screenshot and specifying the GEO.
Run an unscheduled check when:
you launch a new GEO;
you change the landing page template, payment provider, CDN, or redirect rules;
you update the cookie banner;
conversion in one country drops noticeably more than in the others.
If there are several GEOs and Telegram projects, Telegram Soft Expert can be used as a single operational layer for accounts, channels, and recurring tasks after QA. In this setup, PSB Proxy handles network geography checks, while the Telegram software executes already verified scenarios: different types of mailings, the autoresponder, and work with multiple accounts.
Conclusion
Geo QA does not require a large budget or a separate team: a check matrix, a separate browser profile for each GEO, and the habit of repeating the pass once a week are enough. Start with the country that brings the most traffic and go through the user journey from the ad to the lead.
For these checks, you need IPs from the target countries; for example, you can register with PSB Proxy, choose the IP type for the task, and configure the GEO. The first discrepancies between countries usually justify the time spent on the checks very quickly.
